Rod Lohin

Rod Lohin helps current and future business leaders create and capture value through distinctive sustainability strategies and programs.

His 25-year career includes leading a sustainability research center at Canada’s top business school, where he oversees academic and applied research on sustainability strategy, social enterprise and impact investing. He has also acted as a lead consultant with top local and global brands like RBC, SunLife, and Blackberry on their sustainability strategies.

Previously a management consultant, he built a multi-million dollar practice in CSR strategy at pioneering consulting firm Manifest, with clients like Ericsson, Kellogg’s, and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Ericsson’s strategy and leading program – Ericsson Response – was recognized by the UN Global Compact and the Swedish government and endures to this day.

He also served as Director, Partnerships, and Projects with the United Way of Greater Toronto, one of the world’s largest fundraising (and fund allocating organizations), leading a strategic review of the organization and aligning and streamlining allocations to its charitable member organizations.

Rod was a founding member and Treasurer of the board of directors of Rise Asset Development, a micro-finance organization helping people with a history of mental health and addictions issues to explore entrepreneurship and build small businesses.
